Clon Digital helps promote transparency in animal research

The application of metaverse technology to the educational world is a reality. More and more schools, high schools and universities are using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in their classrooms. Therefore, our platform Clon Digital, which works in both business and education, collaborates in all possible projects that require its technology.

This is the case with TranspaVET, a project of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University (CEU UCH) in Valencia, dedicated to promoting transparency in animal experimentation. In its first edition, 35 students from the Veterinary Degree created different posters with the results obtained from their research work for subsequent dissemination through AR and VR in an educational metaverse.

At this point, Clon Digital‘s participation in the TranspaVET project begins. Thanks to our platform, students were able to showcase their work through metaverse technologies. For others to discover it, they simply had to scan the corresponding QR codes with their mobile phones without the need to download any application or software. They could also immerse themselves in a virtual experience by choosing an avatar, thanks to VR glasses.

Animal Research Tomorrow awards the TranspaVET project

In this edition, the TranspaVET project has collaborated with students and teachers from the degrees in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication. The objective is to disseminate new communicative strategies that promote transparency and ethical debate in animal experimentation. Therefore, the international organization Animal Research Tomorrow (ART) has awarded the SciComm ART Award 2024 to the TranspaVET project of these Veterinary and Communication students from the CEU UCH.

Mireia García Roselló and Christelle de Brito, professors and coordinators of TranspaVET, emphasize the need for new artistic and communicative practices that help facilitate the understanding of the scientific project. For this reason, the next TranspaVET event will feature the posters of the projects, an interactive artistic exhibition with documentary photography, audiovisual content and sculptures related to animal experimentation.

For Clon Digital, the evolution and advancement of education are fundamental. That’s why we love to participate and collaborate in these types of projects. So, if you work in the educational sector and would like to know more about our technology, do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
